The manufacturers of blood collection introduced various situations and Countermeasures in clinical blood collection
1. When hematoma occurred, the needle tip of venipuncture needle was not completely inserted into the vein / the needle tip penetrated the vein / excessively explored the vein, resulting in the enlargement of puncture hole / tourniquet too close to the puncture site.
Countermeasures: loosen the tourniquet and pull out the venous blood collection needle, and press the swelling part (or raise the affected arm). Pacify the patient, change the site and re puncture.
2. The speed of blood collection is slow or blood flow stops at half of the time
Patients with high blood viscosity choose small type of blood collection needle.
Countermeasures: according to the patient's physical condition, choose the appropriate blood collection needle.
The vein may collapse
Countermeasures: pull out the plug puncture needle, wait for a few seconds for the vein to resume filling, change the blood collection vessel and continue to collect blood.
During venipuncture, the needle may have penetrated the vein.
Countermeasures: if hematoma occurs, repeat venipuncture in different parts.
Before blood collection, tourniquet is too loose or not tied.
Countermeasures: the tourniquet should be tightened to compress blood vessels.
The main vein was not selected during puncture.
Countermeasures: when collecting multiple tubes, the main vein must be selected first for puncture.
System limitations: the flow rate of blood collection vessel with small blood volume is slower than that with large blood volume; the blood collection needle with smaller needle tip diameter is slower than that of large blood collection needle.
Countermeasures: choose the appropriate blood collection needle and blood collection vessel.
3. Too much vacuum (blood collection volume exceeds the preset value of blood collection vessel)
During blood collection, the patient's position changes (e.g. sitting to collect venous blood).
Countermeasures: to guide the blood collection personnel to adopt the correct blood collection position.
As a result of tension in patients with venous pressure increased and increased blood volume.
Countermeasures: try to pacify patients and guide them to relieve their tension.
